Ron Gutman is an entrepreneur, scholar, and advocate who has founded and supported several mission-driven companies and non-profit organizations aimed at promoting health and wellness around the world. As the Co-CEO of Intrivo, a healthcare company focused on providing innovative solutions to the industry, the serial entrepreneur continues to use his expertise and passion to drive change and make a positive impact. Ron Gutman’s journey started as a graduate student at Stanford University, where he led a multidisciplinary research group to investigate personalized health and increase engagement among patients.
This effort led to the creation of BeWell@Stanford, a health and well-being engagement program that still exists today. He also co-authored Sapient Leadership, a leadership framework that helps leaders navigate the new reality of exponential, perpetual, and pervasive change. In 2006, he founded Wellsphere, an online consumer health company that served more than 100 million people. Ron Gutman later went on to found HealthApp, an interactive health company that developed HOPES (the first Health Operating System) and several other health-related tools and apps.
These, including Dr. A.I. (an outstanding Artificial Intelligence tool for symptom triage), AppRx, and RateRx. HealthApp also acquired Avvo and Docphin. These are two companies focused on providing access to medical research and news for doctors and other healthcare providers. Ron Gutman’s interest in health and technology extends beyond his own companies. He is an angel investor and advisor to several health and technology companies, including Rock Health, Stanford Medicine X, Harvard Medical School’s SMArt Initiative, and Doximity.
Business and healthcare expert Ron Gutman is also a recognized thought leader in technology, health innovation, and business and has spoken at numerous academic institutions and technology and health conferences worldwide (Cbinsights).
In May 2020, Gutman founded FestiHealth, an interactive platform that curates inspiring and knowledgeable speakers, live wellness activities, and a virtual expo of cutting-edge health-tech solutions. The platform aims to help organizations and individuals live and foster healthier and happier lives, especially during the COVID-19 crisis. He is also the founder of the Live Long & Flourish Club, a not-for-profit community of people on a mission to discover, research, and scientifically validate the most effective health solutions to help everyone flourish by living happier, healthier, and longer lives. In February 2020, Ron Gutman finally stated, the club organized an event at Stanford University that anticipated the global spread of the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus with featured presentations by Stanford infectious disease specialists.
